The potential for harm in banking cartels and the inherent interventionism of a gold standard sits uneasy in the spirit of free markets but the isolation of free thinking individuals is untenable. The comment on 100% reserving is suitable as some thinking is required to assess the interventionist nature of a rule that demands such a sacrifice of savings.</description>
